Each year, YouTube releases the most popular trends and moments of the year through a digital trend report. But one thing we know about creators is that they crave in-person connection. So this year, we brought the trend report to life through an immersive, physical experience that highlighted the top YouTube trends of 2023 and served as a destination for top creators to gather, celebrate, and be inspired.

Oh, and we won the 2024 Ex Award for Best Influencer Program.

The Experience Breakdown
All the nitty gritty details
Pinkcore
We took inspiration from the transition travel scenes in the Barbie movie to create a two-sided moving fabric backdrop. Jump into the rocket ship (with a fake fire engine) or the hot air balloon. Complete with all the pink props one could ask for.

Lofi Lounge
We brought the world of Lofi to life by recreating Lofi boy and girl's room down to every last detail and prop. Creators could customize their experience by changing the window backdrop, altering the light color, leaving notes on desk, and changing out props in the room.
VTuber
Virtual YouTubers are on the rise so we created a booth using AI where creators could take a photo of themselves to then be transformed into a virtual avatar. This avatar would then be sent to their email to share via social.

Skibidi Toilet
Skibidi Toilet (you gotta just watch it for yourself) garnered over 16 billion views on YouTube. To bring it to life, we created an unexpected flash mob of larger than life toilets and cameramen that performed a dance routine to the Skibidi beat.
Nail Art Salon
We created 8 unique nail art designs highlighting trends that didn't make the cut for our installations. Stick your hand into our mysterious wall and come out with an instant manicure in under one minute.

Popular Music Genres
Música Mexicana, Sped Up Music, and Jersey Club were some of the most popular music genres of 2023. Using three silent disco rooms, we created a space where guests could experience the top trending songs surrounded by props that spoke to that genre.
Retrogaming Arcade
Bringing all the nostalgia, we had retro arcade games like Donkey Kong, Arcade Legends, PacMan, and more. We then created a prize wall with custom swag that could be redeemed by showing you interacted with our installations and other creators.

Cinematic Aesthetics
In the style of famous 2023 music aesthetics we converted a giant LED screen into a digital rotating backdrop equipped with a wide variety of props.

My Role
As creative lead, I worked with my team of designers and artists to ideate and design each trend installation. I then lead the overall design and experience working closely with production to ensure fabrication went smoothly and aligned with the creative vision.
