Axios, the news website, turned to us for the launch of their inaugural What’s Next Summit that brought together thought leaders and innovators who are making their mark on the future of work, life and mobility. From 5G and AI to hybrid workplaces and supersonic flight, Axios saw an opportunity to not just report on the news of today, but also dive deeper into what our daily lives could look like in the next decade . . . and beyond.
The Experience Breakdown
All the nitty gritty details
Animated Graphics
Between on-stage screens and ancillary graphics throughout the venue we designed and created a multitude of custom designs for attendees in the room and those viewing via livestream.

Using AR to Envision the Future of Transporation
We created a map of DC that showcased the future of how residents would be able to get from one location to the other. Attendees could walk up to different areas of the map and scan the location icons with their phone. From here, they could learn more about that mode of transportation and even view a 3D model of it.
Using AR to Envision the Future of Homes
At this installation, attendees could use their phones to activate AR and see in realtime how technology will become more and more a part of their home.

Showcasing Axios Data
To showcase the way Axios creates interesting and interactive data visualizations, we created five touchscreen kiosks that highlighted different areas of interest.
Branded Coffees and Cocktails
To add a unique and futuristic take on beverages, we did custom coffees with the Axios logo as well as cocktails for the evening reception that utilized a UV light to reveal the event logo.

My Role
As creative lead, I worked with my team of creatives to ideate and design the overall graphic feel. I then worked with fabricators alongside my producer to add interactive elements to the conference.
